We have delivered over 150 motivational speeches, training, and development programs in a wide variety of content areas for local, provincial, national, and international organizations and agencies. Content expertise includes Diversity & Inclusion, Cultural Competency, LGBTQ+ Awareness, Leadership Development, Strategic Planning, and Mission-Focused Transformation.
In this project, we measured current employee perceptions of the Respectful Workplace for Alberta Forestry (Wildfire) to discover the strengths and weaknesses of the current culture, provide a baseline to measure progress, and transform the culture.
These 3 research projects included - “The Prevalence and Health Impacts of Frequent Work Discrimination and Harassment among Women Firefighters in the US Fire Service”, “Examining LGBT firefighter mental health disparities”, and “United in Service: Leadership for building a healthy, resilient, and inclusive emergency service."
These projects included leading Cultural Awareness and Diversity training programs to train detachments and personnel across Alberta, and completing a Respectful Workplace Perception analysis and associated training to transform the culture.
This project began with an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion survey to better understand the perceptions and experiences of people deployed by CIFFC to emergency incidents worldwide. Phase 2 included the development of a framework in the issues of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Wildland Fire industry, and to provide national best practices leadership.
CAFC's Rapid Response in Diversity and Inclusion: Creating a Fire Service for All Program is a series of six workshops on the foundations of EDI, a focus on gender-specific issues, and provide tools and resources.
The IAFC Diversity Executive Leadership Program (iDELP) supports individuals from under-represented identity groups and those interested in creating a diverse workforce to advance into the ranks of national emergency service leadership. Members participate in a leadership program of education, mentoring, and volunteer service in the fire service community.
This project established a results-based accountability and management system for performance measurement and reporting, programme evaluation, contract monitoring and benchmarking at the Intergovernmental Authority on Development, one of the 8 Regional Economic Communities of the African Union.
During this project, we designed and facilitated a process to assist field staff of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao Philippines to dialogue and advise local officials in the crafting of strategic roadmaps to implement capacity development interventions.
The Canada-China Technical Cooperation in Migrant Labour Rights Project provided assistance on labour rights protection services for migrant workers in two counties of Sichuan province, Fushun and Shehong, with the objective of helping to develop labour rights services that China could replicate in other regions. We facilitated the strategic plan, evaluated the capacity of local governments to provide services and respond to issues, and assessed county political and economic functions, structures and governance.
